John and Dorry Santiago began their first salon in Key West in 1976. They were mentored by many hair legends such as John Delaria, Annie Humphries, Horst Rechelbacher, Scott Cole and Paul Mitchell himself.
As their business grew a new salon was opened on Key West’s famous Duval Street. This location brought in celebrity clients such as Jimmy Buffet, Kelly McGillis and Captain Tony to name a few. The Santiago’s work was featured in many fashion magazines, album covers and movies.
In 2002 Salon Santiago opened in Fort Lauderdale. With this next location, came the next generation. Son and daughter Antonio and Francesca, now the owners, have created not only a highly respected salon, but a successful product company as well. Sistema Santiago is a soy based product line formulated for all hair types and ethnic backgrounds.
