Orginally from Chicago, IL. Mz. Mia always had a passion for hair since the very age of six. She continued to pursue her career throughout high school and college. It was not until 2003 where she decided to make the career official and obtained her license.

She enrolled in Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy in 2003 while working as an Acquisitions Manager in Corporate America and began to work part-time as a hairstylist while still working full-time in corporate. In 2007, Mz. Mia resigned from Coporate America and became a full-time hairstylist and one year later began teaching as a technician for Influance Hair Care. She educate at many hair salons and cosmetology schools throughout the state of Florida.

Continuing education is her number one priority, it allows her to stay current with the changing world of hair care. Mz. Mia currently hold 4 continuing education certificates.
